Working with nature.
Founded in 2015 by Josh Girard, our mission is to provide the freshest, most delicious vegetables directly to our neighbors through our Community Supported Agriculture or CSA shares, farm stand, and local farmers' markets.
Growing healthy food requires healthy soil which is rich in humus, nutrients, and life. So we follow organic farming methods which respect natural processes. We never spray anything poisonous on our crops, even if it comes from natural sources.
Girard Farm is a USDA-certified organic farm. We are proud members of the Real Organic Project and we’re MOGFA-certified with the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association. We also support other local, organic farms. You can find honey, artisanal cheese, skyr, and more from Maine farms in our farm store.
What we grow
We choose to grow local favorites that we know you’ll love. Our selection of vegetables varies from year to year and during the growing season. You can sign up to receive seasonal updates about our offerings. Want to try a little of everything? Consider buying our CSA or Market Shares. If you choose to do the on-farm CSA pickup, you also get access to our you-pick garden, where you can pick your own herbs and flowers!
